LAVA WEST GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CLUB
Thousand Oaks, CA

Since its launch in 2011, LAVA West Volleyball Club for Girls has become the dominant club of the Conejo Valley — and even farther beyond — with a vast array of successes across the spectrum of age divisions. Based in Thousand Oaks, LAVA West taps into the talent-rich regions of the Conejo Valley, Ventura County, Malibu, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Calabasas, and the San Fernando Valley, among others.

LAVA West fields more than a dozen full travel and limited travel clubs teams annually across the seven age divisions of the SCVA (Southern California Volleyball Association, the local governing body for girls club volleyball), as well as extensive youth programs and non-travel juniors training programs.

Our primary practice facilities are Colina Middle School (1500 East Hillcrest Drive), Redwood Middle School (233 West Gainsborough Road), and the Thousand Oaks Teen Center (1375 East Janss Road), all located in Thousand Oaks. The Club Director for LAVA West is highly respected long-time girls club coach Trevor Julian.

It is one thing to say you are a premier volleyball club — every club says that. It is another thing entirely to back up your claims with a history of on-court performance and a winning club culture. LAVA West walks the walk to back up its talk, and has been a dominant force on the regional and national club volleyball scene in recent seasons on a scale never before seen in the Conejo Valley. See 'Achievements' for more details.

LAVA West also houses one of the finest coaching staffs you will find with multiple past or present high school and college coaches, international athletes, collegiate All-Americans, and Junior National and National Team players, in all more than 250 years of collective coaching experience. More than that, however, our coaches understand the volleyball of this area and the volleyball of Southern California, and understand the strategies and systems required to be successful in a competitive environment. They also understand what it means to cultivate a team and strive to ensure the experience of our athletes is a positive one they will take with them, a rare trait in today’s club environment.

We encourage you to speak to our Director or any of our coaches about what it means to be part of LAVA West and we look forward to seeing you in the gym with us soon!
