Dear Coach Kramer,

My name is Natasha and I am writing to you because of my interest in playing volleyball at TCU. I play on my high school team and I consider myself tenacious and versatile on the court.

Just to tell you a little bit about myself- I am an outside hitter and middle blocker on my high school and club team. I have recently transitioned to a pin hitter and I am greatly enjoying the challenge of adding to my skill set. I would describe myself as determined, positive, and composed in competitive situations. My club team won the gold at Junior Nationals last year and I plan to contribute another gold for my team this year as well. I am driven to be the best I can be in every capacity.

As a student, I am an avid learner and a high achiever. I currently have a 4.7 GPA and 1200 out of 1600 on my SATs. I plan on retaking the SAT on January 21st. My goal is 1450. I have participated as an intern in my high school’s sports medicine program and am an active participant in my church. I enjoy traveling on mission trips to build homes for people in need of assistance. I am extremely interested in TCU because of its outstanding business program and high retention/graduation rate. I plan to pursue a business degree in the area of marketing or supply chain management. I had the pleasure of visiting TCU in October and fell in love with the campus, school, and Fortworth!

I plan to continue to give one hundred percent effort out on the court and in the classroom. My coaches through the years have consistently commented on the fact that I am highly “coachable”. I pride myself on the fact that I am able to process and apply constructive input in the moment. Other positives that my coaches have remarked on are speed, reflexes, jumping ability, stamina, strength, work ethic, and a positive attitude. I will be playing in qualifiers in Orange County, CA on January 15th and 16th. I will also be playing in the Las Vegas Showcase from February 18th-20th. I hope that you are able to see me play. Below I have included a link to my Sports Recruits scouting page for you to view as it includes highlight videos and academic information.

I would love to meet you and talk about the possibility of being a part of your team in 2018. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program please don’t hesitate to ask. I will follow up with you soon by phone and if you have any further questions I look forward to answering them for you.

Thank you very much for your time and I look forward to hearing back and contacting you via phone very soon.
