Welcome to Lava Beach @ Lava South, based in Chatsworth, CA. Lava Beach is the official beach volleyball program of the Los Angeles Volleyball Academy (LAVA) and Lava South has been successfully serving the San Fernando Valley girls volleyball community for many years, operating out of local schools in the Sherman Oaks/North Hollywood area.

About Lava Beach Camarillo

Based in the Chatsworth area of Los Angeles County, the Lava Beach Volleyball Program is a flourishing opportunity for athletes of all skill levels to receive high quality beach training.

Lava South Beach has an array of training programs, in addition to our club travel team. We have youth programs, middle school training programs, clinics, workshops, and camps, and much more, including:

- Youth Beach Lite Program ... Our youth Lite (elementary school) beach training program for 3rd-6th graders.

- Beach Juniors Program ... Our juniors (middle school) beach training and development program for 7th-8th graders.

- Seasonal Sessions ... We have seasonal programs specific to each location.

We encourage you read up on these and all of our other successful programs, and to speak to our Director or any of the families in our program about what it means to be part of Lava South Beach!

Lava South Beach has multiple offerings for athletes in elementary school (3rd-5th grades), middle school (6th-8th grades), and high school (9th-12th grades). Our talented, dedicated athletes come from all over: the Conejo Valley, the San Fernando Valley, Santa Barbara to Simi Valley, Moorpark to Malibu, Calabasas to Santa Clarita, Woodland Hills to West Los Angeles, and all areas of greater Ventura County, even Ojai. We produce athletes of the highest technical skill and quality, destined for bigger and better things in their high schools and colleges.

Our athletes train at the hands of our exemplary coaching staff, men and women who are committed to excellence, work very hard on behalf of their players, and have a deep passion for teaching and coaching. We encourage you to read up on our staff.

Lava South Beach Program utilizes excellent beach courts in the Chatsworth area. Our primary site is Chaminade Jr. High School (10210 Oakdale Ave, Los Angeles, CA 91311)

JOSH AUGUR
DIRECTOR - LAVA SOUTH

Popular homegrown coaching product Josh Augur has been a fixture on the LAVA sidelines since the club's inception and returns to LAVA South for the coming season in his role as Director.

An All-League award-winner for LA Baptist High School, Josh went on to play collegiate men's club volleyball at San Diego State. While at SDSU, he was a volunteer assistant with the school's NCAA D1 Women's Volleyball Program. He found his passion for coaching and came home after college to transition over to the sidelines full-time, and has coached multiple age divisions for LAVA since that time.

# - National and Regional Travel Teams . . . We offer girls club volleyball travel teams for 5th-12th grade girls that compete both regionally in Southern California and nationally at competitive events across the country, or both. Tryouts are in fall and the season traditionally runs Nov-June.

# - Youth Lite Program . . . The Youth Lite Program at LAVA SOUTH is an immensely popular offering for 3rd-5th grade girls to learn the sport of volleyball in a fun, friendly, instructive manner. Sessions are seasonal and run for multiple weeks at a time.

# - Juniors Non-Travel Program . . . The Juniors Program at LAVA SOUTH is an excellent option for 6th-8th graders who are not ready for a full commitment to club volleyball, but who want to keep their skills up for school volleyball or out of love for the game, or both! It is a non-travel program, sessions are seasonal and run for multiple weeks at a time.
